FAQ

Questions readers keep asking.

Does PredictIt charge to deposit?

No. As of March 2026 PredictIt does not charge a deposit fee. You do need a minimum balance of 10 dollars before you can start trading.

What is the withdrawal fee?

PredictIt applies a fee of 5 percent on the amount you withdraw, as of March 2026. Withdrawals also face a holding period of 30 days after your initial deposit.

Is there a fee on winnings?

Yes. PredictIt charges 10 percent on net profit when you realise a gain, whether by selling a share above your cost or redeeming a winning share. The fee applies to gains only, not to your stake.

How do I get my money out?

By ACH bank transfer or a mailed cheque. Processing can take up to five business days, and the 5 percent withdrawal fee and the 30 day first deposit hold both apply.

Is PredictIt legal to use?

PredictIt has operated for verified users in the United States under an arrangement tied to a no action stance from the United States Commodity Futures Trading Commission, and that arrangement has been the subject of legal dispute. The position is contested rather than settled, so confirm the current status directly before taking part.
